The International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics is an international competition for high-school students along the lines of the other International Science Olympiads, covering the fields of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

Note that the IOA is different from the IOAA and IOA if for junior students whereas the IOAA is for the senior students.
This olympiad requires a strong base in physics and mathematics and the following books are preferred:- these contain both astronomy and physics books:-
